Double-U

I had a brief, but very interesting conversation with Aaron on the phone today. We were talking about the arbitrariness of the alphabet in relation to the names given to them. We realized that the letter “W” should have another name. I mean, who thought of ‘double- U’? Depending on the writing style or font used it looks like a ‘double – V’. Given this logic of letter-naming, you might as well call the letter “R” a
‘P with a tail’, or an “X” a ‘reflected V.’ If it were up to me I would give it another name. That letter deserves its own individuality and uniqueness. Ahaha. But what name would I give it? I would still need time to think on it. If it were up to you, what alternate name would you give to the letter “W”?

Random story time #001

I was sitting on the bus one the way home and I saw a two people texting on their phones. They were both smiling at their phones. They were obviously strangers, but that action made me think that they were texting each other. Kinda cute but it made feel a bit awkward watching the whole exchange. And then I hopped off the bus. The end.
